Your privacy is important to me. Heck, *my* privacy is important to me, too.
This site is writen and maintained by me and me alone. No one pays me to harvest information about you, your email, your IP address, or any information about you. I really do not care about you. Sounds harsh, but this site is all about showing off my photography skills on the Island where I live and not about finding information on you.
One way the information gathered is used is to keep statistics about site. The data gathered in the logs includes your IP address, the page that linked in and the page you visited. The data is used by programs installed on the site to produce pretty graphs, nothing more.
I like to know what pictures are cropping up on the search engines, and what else is attracting people here. Simply having nice pictures is not enough to get eyes on the page -- I rely on google and other search engines to index, rank and eventually send people my way. The information gleaned from the traffic reports guide me to make the site more popular.
You may have noticed that I don't have my email address linked anywhere on the site. This is because spammers and other scum of the earth have programs that search the internet to find new victim email addresses. I have had an internet presence since 1995 and learned the hard way to not link.
Some great anti-spam information is at spamprimer.com, written by the author of This is true, which is an excellent newsletter.
Since I am taking pictures in public places, it is possible you or your child appears in one of my pictures. If you are uncomfortable with this, please tell me via email or talk to me at a ball game. I will remove the offending image or make it so that the person is not identifible.
